TIME IS RUNNING OUT TO GET A DIPLOMA

I can't emphasize enough how difficult it will be to get a GED after this year because the whole content of the GED Test is changing. So many people are thinking, "Well, I still have a half year before they change the GED Test." That is FAULTY THINKING!

Here is the reality. Last year, when the GED Test was supposed to change over to computer only, the GED Testing Centers were jammed in by November. And at that time, there was also an extra testing site in Bucks County that is no longer there. Now with the "no choice 2014" plan, if you don't have a reservation for the GED Test by October, your chances of taking this version of the test are very slim.

The time to act is NOW. We are preparing intensive training from July until November by offering as many possible "boot camps" during the summer months as possible. Our boot camps prepare you to take the test in 2 weeks, but you must attend daily for 3 hours a day.

Those of you who do not have good computer skills will have to first learn how to use a computer before you take the new GED Test. That will delay your diploma much longer. THE NEW TEST---DANGER AHEAD

I never felt quite as discouraged as I feel at this moment about the GED Test changing in 2014. I have reviewed some of the sample questions, and quite honestly, I doubt I could pass the Math Test and Science Tests. That is why this is the last chance for people who don't want to be in long-term study programs to get their GED.

Right now, most people can pass the GED Test without much knowledge in social studies or science. That will definitely be a major change next year. Also a major change will be that some of the questions require you to analyze a passage and write how you would proceed with a scientific experiement. This means you will have to study a great deal. It also means our program will be changing to align with the new test. Students will have to double their classroom time and fees for the program after January 1, 2014.

If you have limited computer experience, after this year you will have to brush up or learn computer skills because the GED Test will only be available on the computer. And once the Test is only on the computer, the price will go from $75.00 to $150.00.

We are now recruting for our March 21st morning and evening classes. Now it is critical to get started if you want to take the test as we know it. After 2014, it will be a much more difficult test and only on the computer. The price will also go up just for the testing from $75.00 to $150.00. If you've taken the test but failed any section, you must pass it this year or all of your grades will be removed.

Our new morning and classes are started this week--and they are filled! However, we do have a few spaces left in our upcoming weekend class. We are now recruiting for our January classes starting the first week of January. We will have morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend classes starting. GED TUTORING NOW AVAILABLE

If you need tutoring in any of the five GED subjects, we now offer one-on-one tutoring at our Center. We have tutors who can give you the support you need to make sure you are successful on the test. Remember, if you started the test, you must finish it in 2013. Otherwise, in 2014, your scores will be disgarded and you'll have to take the new test and start all over.
