I was so excited to learn that the three Philadelphia GED Testing sites will remain using paper for another year. I know it will be so hard for people who aren't proficient on the computer or keyboarding to pass the essay portion of the test, so this is excellent news.
Our young people today have grown up with computers;however, people 40 and older haven't. Some of them would be totally overwhelmed having to take a test on the computer which I believe will drop the statistics next year of older people getting their GED.
So for now, the news is good news! But be aware--you must complete your GED this year to keep any previous scores or new scores. At the end of 2013, they will be destroyed, and you will have to start all over again on the computer. Tester beware!
